A great Texas age group, high school and SMU swimmer.  Successful coach at every level. Coached Memorial H.S. to 6 straight State titles. Mentored thousands as head coach of the  Dad’s Club. Started the SMU Women’s team. Head coach at Iowa State, Auburn, UT and Stanford winning 12 NCAA team titles including 5 straight with the Longhorns. Appointed to 6 U.S. Olympic teams. Richard's coaching career touched many lives; he passed in June 2009 after a fighting against inoperable brain cancer.
